Flowpresso FAQ’s

How many sessions should a client/patient have? 

A minimum of three sessions (one per week); six sessions are recommended for maximum health benefits.

Can a client/patient have more than one session per week? 

Yes, but it is highly recommended to have three days in between.

*It is recommended to drink plenty of water before and after each session

Are there any people who should not use the FLOWpresso/contraindications?

A patient should NOT use the therapy system if the patient is suspected of or observed to have any of the following pre-existing conditions:

  • Presumptive evidence of congestive heart failure
  • Arterial dysregulation (cardiovascular dysregulation)
  • Pre-existing DVT condition (Deep Vein Thrombosis – blood clots)
  • Erysipelas (bacterial infection of the skin)
  • Deep acute venal thrombosis (Phlebothrombosis –inflammation, pain, redness and/or swelling of the veins in arms and/or legs)
  • Carcinoma and carcinoma metastasis in the affected extremity (cancer in an extremity)
  • Inflammatory phlebitis process (acute inflammation of a vein)
  • Decompensated hypertonia (stiffness or inability to move legs and/or arms)
  • Episodes of pulmonary embolism (blockage of artery in lungs)
  • Acute inflammatory skin diseases or infection
  • Pulmonary edema (fluid accumulation in the lungs)
  • Venous or arterial occlusive disease (blockage or narrowing of the arteries in legs, or rarely the arms)
  • Acute inflammation of the veins (Thrombophlebitis)
  • Poor peripheral circulation
  • Decompensated cardiac insufficiency
  • Severe arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), or active infection

Heat Therapy

To receive heat therapy for the following conditions, patients must be under the supervision of a physician:

 

  • Extremely low blood pressure
  • Diabetics (mainly due to neuropathy in the extremities)
  • Raynaud’s disease
  • Decreased skin sensitivity
  • Hypersensitivity to cold
  • Poor Circulation
  • Patients with vein ligation (treatment for varicose veins) or recent skin grafts
  • Children under 12
